What's Your 'go-to' Recipe?

The picture isn't the best...just looks like a casserole.  But this has become one of my family's favorite meals - and it's easy.  I actually got the recipe from one of my roommates in college.

Aside from tasting great and being easy to put together, it's also something that can be put together ahead of time,  It's also the first meal that I have taught Jeter how to make from start to finish.

Creamy Chicken

Anyway, here is the recipe for our favorite Creamy Chicken...

Boneless, skinless chicken breast or tenders - 4-6 (more for tenders)
Swiss cheese - I use the Heidi Ann Swiss.  4-6 slices
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup - you can also use cream of chicken or celery.
1/4 cup white wine
4 Tbs. butter, melted
1 cup crushed herb stuffing mix - I use Pepperidge Farms - the blue bag

In baking dish, coat bottom with cooking spray and place the chicken in the dish.  Cover the chicken with the slices of cheese.

In a small bowl, whisk together the soup and wine.  Spoon over the chicken.

Sprinkle the crushed stuffing mix over the soup mixture and drizzle with the melted butter.

Bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes.

Serve with rice and green veggie.

Just think...this could be your dinner tonight.

    1. I've never done it that way but you could try it. I think I would reduce the baking time. Maybe 25-30 minutes?
