My day began this morning at 6:00 when the alarm went off. I got myself ready and then got Barber up and ready for his soccer game. We needed to be out of the house by 7:45 to meet the team and drive to the location for our 9:00 game. This is pretty standard for a Saturday in the fall but today was a bit different. Snow was in the forecast. It had begun to rain but you don't cancel soccer for rain alone. Our entire team drove to the field. The other team never showed up. Our coach finally received a phone call less then 10 minutes before the game was to begin learning that the township had closed the fields. The boys were relatively disappointed and the parents were somewhat relieved. I was a bit bummed not to get some soccer photos with snow...although the heavy stuff hadn't started to come down yet.
Shortly after we returned home, the snow began...
